Smith Maintains the Lead

Chung and Ni lead the way for the Girls Division

Camden Smith of Windermere, Florida, leads the Boys Division for the second-day in-a-row with a score of 6-under-par 138. Smith has nine birdies for the tournament. Since the start of his junior golf career in 2019, Smith has 11 top-10 finishes.

With a score of even-par 144, Ray Filter of Crown Point, Indiana, Shoji Fujita of Carmel, Indiana, Peter Sheakley of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Dominic Scaletta of Inverness, Illinois, are tied for second.

Filter improved his position on the leader board jumping from sixth to second with a round score of 3-under-par 69. In June 2021, Fujita placed fourth in the Boys Indiana Junior PGA Championship. With nine birdies in the tournament, Sheakley has finished both rounds at even par. Scaletta improved his first-round score by two strokes and finished the day at 1-under-par 71.

For the second day, Charlene Chung of Happy Valley, Hong Kong, leads the Girls Division with a score of 2-under-par 142. Chung has six birdies in the tournament. In June 2021, she tied for fifth in the Natural Resource Partners Bluegrass Junior presented by Encova Insurance.

Maggie Ni of Cypress, Texas, is tied for first with Chung. She has shot 1-under-par 71 each round. Ni is no stranger to being a leader as she finished first in the Girls Southern Texas Junior PGA Championship #1, the STPGA Spring Break Classic and the LJT Winter Classic, all in 2021.

Madison Dabagia of Fort Wayne, Indiana, is in third place with a score of 1-under-par 143. She has ten birdies for the tournament.
