Isaac jumps into Girls Division lead at The Woodlands

Remington Isaac of Montgomery, Texas, jumped into the lead in the Girls Division after carding a 3-under-par 69 in the second round for a total of 2-under-par 142. Isaac had three birdies during her round. The 2021 high school graduate is No. 163 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and has signed her National Letter of Intent to Kansas State University.

Amelia Guo of Seabrook, Texas, remains in second at 3-over-par 147 on the tournament. Katelynn Altese of Diamondhead, Mississippi, Tristan Gabbard of Fulshear, Texas, and Ashleen Kaur of Cypress, Texas, all sit T3 at 5-over-par 149.

Jack Usner and Alex Papayoanou, each of The Woodlands, Texas, share the Boys Division lead after their second round at 3-under-par 141. Usner is No. 63 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and finished T6 in this tournament last year. Papayoanou is No. 188 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and won the 2020 St. Francisville Area Foundation Junior at The Bluffs.

Andrew Tan of Austin, Texas; Eduardo Derbez Torres of Monterrey, Mexico; Markus Lam of Hong Kong, and Jase Summy of Keller, Texas, are knotted up T3 at 2-under-par 142.
