Following Zhao at 4-under-par 68 is Megan Kirkpatrick of Woodbine, Maryland. Finishing in third at 2-under-par 70 is Josephine Nguyen of Springfield, Virginia. Both Kirkpatrick and Nguyen had five birdies on the round.
Logan Reilly of Lovettsville, Virginia, leads the Boys Division after the first round at 6-under-par 66. Reilly had six birdies on the round. The 2025 graduate has one top-10 finish at the 2021 Three Little Birds Memorial AJGA Open.
Following the leader is Eric Zhao of North York, Ontario, Canada, and Dafei Chen of Chino Hills, California. Chen and Zhao finished at 5-under-par 67.
Matthew DiFiore of Malverne, New York, finished in fourth at four-under-par 68. T5 is Ryan Downes of Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and Edan Cui of Atherton, California. Downes and Cui finished the round at 3-under-par 69.
