Aujla, Burnett qualify for #ThreeLittleBirdsJr after three-hole playoff

Pornphat Luchutaskul of Bangkok, Thailand, and Andrew Petruzzelli of Dallas, medaled at the Three Little Birds Memorial AJGA Open Qualifier after finishing even-par 72. After a five-person playoff across three holes, Colby Burnett of Haymarket, Virginia, and Arjun Aujla of Greenbrae, California, earned the last two qualifier spots. With two people left in the playoff, Aujla two-putted for birdie on No. 9 to capture the last spot in the tournament.

Luchutaskul finished the day with three birdies. He will tee off at 10 a.m. in the first round tomorrow at Piedmont. Petruzzelli, who was already in the tournament, also finished even-par 72 at the qualifier.

Kathryn Ha of Roanoke, Virginia, Victoria Matthews of Great Falls, Virginia, and Marissa Malosh of South Fayette, Pennsylvania, qualifed for the Three Little Birds Memorial AJGA Open. Ha finished in third place at 4-over-par 76. Matthews and Malosh tied for fourth place at 5-over-par 77. Matthews made a birdie on No. 17 to get herself into the qualifier. Ha will tee off at 7:50 a.m. Following Ha will be Matthews at 8:00 a.m. and Malosh at 8:10 a.m.

Alina Ho of Great Falls, Virginia, won the qualifier shooting 1-over-par 73. Ho was already qualified for the tournament this week. Ho had three birdies on the round and will tee of at 7:40 a.m. tomorrow.
