Shin leads Girls Division by one stroke heading into the final round

Julie Shin of Brambleton, Virginia, leads the Girls Division after posting a 2-under-par 70 in the round. She currently sits at 4-under-par 140 for the tournament. Shin had three birdies in the round including two birdies on her final three holes to regain her lead. The Sam Burns Classic at The Landings qualifier medalist will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on July 22nd, 2021, seeking her first AJGA victory.

Kate Song of Alpharetta, Georgia, is in second place after shooting 2-under-par 70 in the round. Song sits one shot behind the leader with a total score of 3-under-par 141. The Mercer University commit is looking for her first career AJGA victory tomorrow as she will be teeing of at 8:30 a.m.

Katherine Cook of Thomasville, Georgia, is currently in third place after shooting 2-under-par 70. Cook sits two shots behind the leader with a total score of 2-under-par 142. Cook will also be seeking her first career AJGA victory as she tees off at 8:30 a.m. on July 22nd, 2021 with Song and Shin.

Reed Lotter of Savannah, Georgia, and Jack Usner of The Woodlands, Texas, are currently tied for the Boys Division lead after both players end the second round shooting 7-under-par 137. Both Usner and Lotter ended the round with five birdies each and three bogeys combined. Lotter and Usner will both tee off on July 22nd, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Lotter will be seeking his first career AJGA victory and Usner will be seeking his second career AJGA victory but his first of the 2021 season.

Danny Erickson of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, is in solo third place after shooting 5-under-par 67 in the round. Erickson had six birdies in the round and only one bogey. He is one shot behind the leader after having a tournament score of 6-under-par 138. The 2023 graduate will be seeking his first ever AJGA victory.

Wade Watson of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, is currently in fourth place after shooting 1-under-par 71. Watson had an up and down front-nine with three birdies and two bogeys but ended his round by making par on the rest of the back-nine. Watson is shooting 4-under-par 140 for the tournament. He will be searching for his first career AJGA victory on July 22nd, 2021.

Mohit Balaji of Kissimmee, Florida, Daniel Boone of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, and Jack Gilbert of Houston, Texas, are all tied for fifth place for a tournament score of 3-under-par 141. The three players combined for 15 birdies and one eagle in the second round.

Korn Ferry Tour Exemption
The male division winner of the Sam Burns Classic at The Landings Club, will receive an exemption into the fifth playing of the official Korn Ferry Tour event the week of March 28 – April 3, 2022, in Savannah, Georgia.
