Behind Li is Lauren Nguyen of Katy, Texas, and Lydia Swan of North East, Pennsylvania. They finished round one at one-over-par 73 and two-over-par 74 respectively.
Tomek Pickrell of Cypress, Texas, and Jacob Sosa of Austin, Texas, finished round one tied for first at 1-under-par 70. Pickrell had four birdies and three bogeys. Sosa shot an even-par 35 on the front nine and one-under-par 35 on the back nine.
Other notable boys performances were Matthew Spaulding of Spring, Texas, Hogan Park of Walnut, California, Alex Papayoanou of The Woodlands, Texas, J. Holland Humphries of Austin, Texas, Kaelen Dulany of Keller, Texas, and Luke Poulter of Orlando, Florida. The six are tied for third at even-par 71.
