Luke Poulter of (Great Britain) Orlando, Florida, set the pace at 4-under-par 68 after the first round of the Westrock Coffee Junior Championship. He shot five birdies in total, including four on the front nine. Poulter is ranked No. 144 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Rounding out the top five in the Boys Division are Jack Beauchamp of Westlake, Texas, and Minas Manias of Frisco, Texas, who are tied for second at 3-under-par 69. Beauchamp's round is notable for his two eagles on holes 6 and 18. Tied for fourth at 1-under-par 71, are Andrew Spaulding of Spring, Texas, Boyi (Barry) Zhang of (China) Lake Mary, Florida, Thomas Curry of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Brady Smith of Simpsonville, Kentucky.

Mackenzie Lee of North Little Rock, Arkansas, finished the first round at 3-under-par 69. The defending champion leads the Girls Division. She had three birdies on the day and holds a four-stroke lead going into the second round.

Trailing Lee, in second at 1-over-par 73, is Raychel Nelke of Pocola, Oklahoma. Grace Kilcrease of Springdale, Arkansas, sits in third at 2-over-par 74.
