Mesa, Ariz. - The Under Armour / Albane Valenzuela Girls Invitational marks the start of the 2022 AJGA summer season. The all-girl event starts May 26th and runs through May 29th. The 54-hole stroke play event will bring together the top-72 girls in the Rolex AJGA Rankings to Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona.

About the Course
Longbow Golf Club is a staple on the AJGA's schedule. 2022 marks the 19th year that the AJGA has conducted a tournament at Longbow. For the past three years Longbow has hosted multiple AJGA events including the PING Heather Farr Classic and the Under Armour / Albane Valenzuela Girls Championship. Longbow also annually plays host to the Epson Tour, the official qualifying tour for the LPGA.
AJGA Champion Highlights
Of the 46 players who’ve won an AJGA event, a few highlights:
- Kiara Romero of San Jose, California, won the 2021 Polo Golf Junior Classic at Liberty National. The University of Oregon verbal commit went undefeated on the week in match play going 6-0. The 2023 graduate is the top ranked girl in the field this week at No. 7 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.
- Jasmine Koo of Cerritos, California, is already a two-time champion in 2022. The 2024 graduate took home the Sergio and Angela Garcia Foundation Junior Championship and the PING Heather Farr Classic by a combined seven strokes.
- Avery Zweig of McKinney, Texas, is already an AJGA Invitational champion. The 2025 graduate won the Hilton Grand Vacations ANNIKA Invitational presented by Rolex in 2021 when it was contested at the World Golf Village - Slammer & Squire course. Zweig went on to be named to the PING Junior Solheim Cup and Junior Ryder Cup teams in 2021.
- Rianne Malixi of (Philippines) San Bernardino, California, is no stranger to winning in the Arizona desert. The 2025 graduate won the AJGA Thunderbird Junior All-Star down the road at Papago Golf Club this year.
Tournament History
The Under Armour / Albane Valenzuela Girls Invitational is a first year Invitational on the AJGA schedule. In May 2021, Valenzuela hosted an open all-girls tournament, the Under Armour / Albane Valenzuela Girls Championship. In 2022 the event was elevated to an Invitational.
