The AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods returns to The Woodlands, Texas, on February 14-17, 2025. The Club at Carlton Woods - Fazio Championship Course has hosted the event since 2009.
The event is continually recognized as one of the strongest all-boys junior golf events in the world. The competition will feature a 54-hole stroke play event with 72 of the top-ranked juniors in the world.
The AJGA Simplify Boys Championship at Carlton Woods has occurred annually since 1987, with the last 16 tournaments being played at Carlton Woods.

About the Course
- The Club at Carlton Woods boasts the distinction of being one of only two private clubs in the US with a Nicklaus/Fazio design combination. Jack Nicklaus designed the Jack Nicklaus Signature Course which opened in 2001 and Tom Fazio the Tom Fazio Championship Course in 2005.

Of the 48 players who’ve won an AJGA event, a few highlights:
- Miles Russell of Jacksonville Beach Florida is No. 2 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings and the 2023 Rolex Junior Player of the Year. He ended the 2024 season with a win at the Rolex Tournament of Champions in November. He was a second-team Rolex Junior All-American in 2024. The 2027 graduate was also a member of the victorious United States Junior Presidents Cup team.
- Luke Colton of Frisco, Texas is the highest-ranked player in the field at No. 1 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He finished the 2024 season with six top-10 finishes in AJGA events. The 2026 graduate was a member of the United States Junior Presidents Cup team as well as a Wyndham Cup competitor. He was a first-team Rolex Junior All-American in 2024 and has a verbal commitment to Vanderbilt University.
- Jackson Byrd of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, is currently ranked No. 4 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. He is a three-time Rolex Junior All-American and has a verbal commitment to Clemson University. The 2025 graduate was also a member of the United States Junior Presidents Cup team. He finished his 2024 season with a win at The PING Invitational.
