GREENWOOD, SC. - The Greenwood Junior Championship will be returning to The Links at Stoney Point in Greenwood, South Carolina, for the third straight year. The 54-hole stroke-play tournament will be held August 8 - 12, 2021. The 78-player field competing for the Greenwood Junior Championship will be composed of a Boys and Girls Division, ages 12-19. A qualifier will be taking place at The Links at Stoney Point on August 8, 2021.

Players to watch
- Sara Im of Duluth, Georgia, is the top-ranked Girls Division golfer in the Rolex AJGA Rankings (No. 21). Im is a Rolex AJGA Junior All-American and was a 2020 Junior All-Star team member. The 2023 graduate won Greenwood Junior Championship at The Links at Stoney point in 2019. She will be looking for her second victory of the year after winning the AJGA Carolina Trace Junior.
- Alexia Siehl of Fort Mill, South Carolina, is No. 101 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. After finishing fourth last year at the Greenwood Junior Championship, she will be looking for her first victory at The Links at Stoney Point. The 2022 graduate has two top-five finishes in the season and will be looking to get her first victory of the 2021 season,
- Bryant Hernandez of San Marino, California, is the top ranked Boys Division golfer in the Rolex AJGA Rankings (No. 106). Hernandez earned his first ever AJGA career victory at TaylorMade TP5 Junior All-Star this past spring. This will be the 2024 graduates first time in the Greenwood Junior Championship, as he is looking for his second career AJGA title.
- Matthew Foster of Dallas, Texas, is No. 183 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. Foster won his first AJGA title this past June at the AJGA Huntsville Junior where Foster shot 66-71-68-205 in the week. The 2023 graduate will also be seeking his second career AJGA title.
Qualifying Tournament
More juniors may earn entry into the Greenwood Junior Championship at The Links at Stoney Point through an 18-hole qualifying tournament. The qualifying tournament is set for 8:30 a.m on Sunday, August 8th at The Links at Stoney Point with a field of 78 Boys and Girls Division golfers. The top-seven qualifier finishers for the boys and the top-two finishers for the girls will advance into the Greenwood Junior Championship. The full qualifier field is here
