    Timing Station
    This job entails recording the groups’ times at the end of a specific hole to help AJGA staff enforce pace of play.

    Timing & Scoring Station
    Record a group's times and help AJGA staff enforce pace of play. Enter the players' hole-by-hole scores to update online scoring.
    NOTE: All Timing Station / Live Scoring volunteers must have a smartphone with minimal data to enter scores through the Golf Genius application.

    Spotter
    This job entails being stationed on a hole to watch player’s shots in case they go astray. Flags to mark players balls may be provided. It is recommended to bring a chair unless otherwise noted.

    Standard Bearer
    This job entails carrying the standard sign provided by the AJGA with player names and scores on it. The volunteer(s) will carry a pouch with numbers and update the scores after each hole. The players will assist in checking that the scores are correct. The AJGA will have a shoulder sling to assist in carrying the standard which weighs around 5 lbs. The standard bearer will be required to walk all 18 holes.

    This job entails bringing the player scorecards from the scoring area to the scoreboard or AJGA Headquarters.

    This position entails filling divots on the course and fixing ball marks after the round.

    This job entails assisting the AJGA staff with on-course operations set-up, such as tents, stake and rope, signage, coolers, trash/recycling cans and pace of play frames.

    This job entails assisting the AJGA staff with taking all operations equipment off of the golf course after the final round.

    Volunteer Check-in
    This is usually the volunteer chairperson and this person is stationed at the volunteer check-in area. This person needs to be knowledgeable as to who should be showing up each day to volunteer and how to get in touch with them if they don’t show up.

    Player Registration
    This volunteer will help the AJGA staff register the players for the tournament by asking questions on an electronic device and/or hand out player gifts (shirts, shoes, hats, balls, etc.).

    Junior-Am Gift Assembler
    This job entails stuffing bags with the gifts the players will receive at registration.

    Shuttle Driver Manager
    This person oversees all of the shuttle drivers and makes sure everyone is present and aware of what they need to do during the round.

    This volunteer will help the AJGA staff register the amateurs and juniors for the Junior-Am by asking questions on an electronic device and/or hand out player gifts (shirts, shoes, hats, balls, etc.).

    Headquarters Manager
    This job entails keeping the AJGA Headquarters clean and doing miscellaneous tasks in headquarters to help the Tournament Director.

    Private Housing Host Family
    The AJGA staff is looking for local families to house AJGA staff members during the event to help cut costs and provide more money for local charity. The host family would need to provide a private bedroom and bathroom as well as an iron and ironing board. Meals and transportation are welcomed but not required.

    Scoreboard Graphics Artist
    This job requires calligraphy skills to write player names, hometowns and scores on scoresheets and summary sheets provided by the AJGA.

    Medic
    The AJGA medic/athletic trainer must be certified in performing First Aid, CPR and have medical training which qualifies them to be a first responder to any medical need that may arise. Medics will be required to carry a first aid kit for common injuries such as blisters, cuts and insect bites. As the bulk of AJGA events take place during the summer months, each medic should be well versed in immediate treatment for heat related illnesses.

    Scoreboard Assistant
    This job entails posting scores on physical scoreboard after each round. After receiving scorecards, post each score next to the corresponding player's name on the scoreboard (AJGA will provide stickers with scores; no calligraphy skills required).

    This job entails driving players in golf carts between holes with long walks.

    Water Rover
    This job entails refreshing and icing down the AJGA water coolers each morning and bringing them on the golf course to designated spots. Replenishment includes driving a cart with bottled water and ice and re-stocking the 15+ coolers on the course and practice areas. This volunteer will also restock the fruit coolers on the course.

    Walking Scorer
    This job entails walking with one group on the course, keeping track of strokes taken on each hole and entering the players scores to update online scoring. Walking scorers must have a smartphone with minimal data to enter scores through the Golf Genius application and be able to walk 18 holes.

    Rules Official
    This person is someone who has achieved advanced or expert level certification on the USGA-PGA Rules of Golf Exam. This person will serve as a rules official during the tournament along with the AJGA staff.

    Driving Range Attendant
    This job is responsible for setting up and breaking down the driving range. Set-up includes putting out the signs with the event header and players names. This volunteer will have a radio to relay any needs to the AJGA staff. This is a fun job for adults with kids as they get to be up close with the players as they warm up for the round.

    This job entails assisting the AJGA staff with morning set-up such as coolers, tent tops and stake and rope and banner maintenance.
