Surapa Janthamunee of Phuket, Thailand, shot 3-under-par 68 during the second round, and a tournament total 3-under-par 139, to put herself on top of the Girls Division leaderboard. Janthamunee carded six birdies, including three consecutive birdies on Nos. 2, 3 and 4 to start her day. She also had nine consecutive bogey-free holes. Janthamunee was one of only three girls to shoot under-par during the second round.
Yufei (Nancy) Dai (China) of Lake Mary, Florida, shot 3-under-par 68 on the day, rising into second place in the Girls Division with a tournament total even-par 142 . Dai, like Janthamunee, also carded six birdies and had three consecutive birdies on Nos. 4, 5, and 6.
Rounding out the top three girls after 36 holes is Kimberly Shen of Johns Creek, Georgia, with a second round score of 2-under-par 69 and a tournament total 1-over-par, 143. Shen had three birdies and a bogey-free back nine on the day.
Tristin Wisener of Hartselle, Alabama, shot 6-under-par 65 to take the Boys Division lead after 36 holes. Wisener had eight birdies during the round, including three consecutive birdies on Nos. 10, 11 and 12. After his strong round, Wisener has a tournament total score of 6-under-par 136.
Round one leader Matthew Foster of Dallas, carded an even-par 71 during his second round to tie for second. Foster had three birdies on the front nine and two on the back nine to help him remain in the top three. Also tied for second is Gage Doyle of Colleyville, Texas. Doyle shot 4-under-par 67 during round two and carded six birdies. He now has a tournament total of 5-under-par 137.
Rounding out the top three boys in a four-way tie for fourth place at 3-under-par, 139 are: Trent Trousdale of Huntsville, Alabama, Brody McQueen of Marietta, Georgia, Grant Doggett of Beach City, Texas, and Westy McCabe of Dallas.
