Erica Lee of Arcadia, California, grabbed the Girls Division lead after 36 holes as she sits at 3-under-par 141. Lee notched four birdies in the second round with two coming on the front nine and two coming on the back nine for a 3-under-par 69. She is a 2023 graduate and will be looking for her second AJGA victory this summer.
In a three-way tie for second place in the Girls Division are Elyssa Abdullah of Hinsdale, Illinois, Kelly Zhao of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Alissa Xu of Richmond Hills, Ontario, Canada. Abdullah had the low round for the Girls Division with a 4-under-par 68 while Zhao and Xu shot a 1-under-par 71 each.
Eric Yun of Menlo Park, California, shot another 3-under-par 69 in the second round to put himself at 6-under-par 138 for the tournament. Yun had four birdies on the day including back-to-back birdies on hole Nos. 16 and 17. Yun is still looking for his first AJGA victory.
In sole possession of second place at 5-under-par 139 is Supapon Amornchaichan of Bangkok Thailand. Amornchaichan had a 4-under-par 68 with a bogey-free back nine in the second round including four birdies in the last six holes.
In third place at 1-under-par 143 is Peyton Blackard of Fort Branch, Indiana. Blackard carded three birdies for a 1-under-par 71 in the second round.
Sitting in fourth place is YeXing Li of (China) Wesley Chapel, Florida, who sits at 1-over-par 145. Li has carded seven birdies through two rounds.
