Maelynn Kim of Katy, Texas, dominates the Girls Division at 7-under-par 65. She notched nine birdies on the day, with three consecutive on the front nine. Kim holds a four-stroke lead heading into the second round.
In second, is Macy Pate of Winston Salem, North Carolina, at 3-under-par 69. Following Pate, in third at 1-under-par 71, is Angela Zhang of Bellevue, Washington.
