Greensboro, NC - Eric Lee of Fullerton, California, leads the first round of the Wyndham Invitational presented by Truist at 5-under-par 65. The 2023 graduate has a one-stroke lead on a close all-boys leaderboard.
The 21st Wyndham Invitational presented by Truist got started on Tuesday at Sedgefield Country Club. The all-boys, 72-player field features 36 college commits, 40 players ranked in the top-100 of the Rolex AJGA Rankings, and 43 AJGA champions.
The field hails from 14 different states and six countries. There are currently 24 boys at even-par or better after the first round.
Lee played a stellar round of golf that was highlighted by four straight birdies on Nos. 8-11. His bogey-free round of 5-under-par 65 was good enough for a one-shot lead.

One stroke behind Lee two players shared second at 4-under-par 66 is Henry Guan of Dallas, Texas, and Davis Ovard of Frisco, Texas. The two combined finished the first round with eight birdies on the day.
Josh Duangmanee of Fairfax, Virginia; Ryder Cowan of Edmond, Oklahoma; Matt Moloney of Vienna, Virginia; Nicholas Gross of Downington, Pennsylvania, and Rylan Shim of Centreville, Virginia, are two strokes off the lead at 3-under-par 67.
The 21st Wyndham Invitational continues tomorrow with tee times from 7:30 a.m. to 11:43 a.m. off of Sedgefield Country Club's No. 1 tee.
