TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Mizuho Americas Open will be a stableford competition. We will be using the modified stableford format where points will be awarded based on your score for each hole:

  • Double Bogey: 0 points
  • Bogey:1 point
  • Par: 2 points
  • Birdie: 3 points
  • Eagle: 5 points
  • Double Eagle: 8 points

The champion will be determined by the player who has the most points after 72 holes. Since double bogey is the “worst” one could do on a hole, after a double bogey has been made the player is allowed, and encouraged, to pick up for that hole. Because players are not required to hole out, this event will not be counted by Junior Golf Scoreboard. This is an AJGA Invitational tournament. PBE status will be awarded accordingly, and the tournament will be included in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. PLEASE NOTE that the tournament will NOT be included in Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings.
