Capital City Club - Crabapple set to host the 33rd Rolex Girls Junior Championship

MILTON, GA. – The 33rd Rolex Girls Junior Championship will take place June 17-20 in Milton, Georgia. The iconic all-girls Invitational brings together the top-ranked junior golfers in the world to compete at Capital City Club - Crabapple for a 54-hole, stroke-play tournament.

The Rolex Girls Junior Championship, organized in partnership between Rolex, the AJGA and Capital City Club, will challenge the top players invited through the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Capital City Club - Crabapple has previously hosted two other events on the AJGA's schedule, the 2005 Canon Cup and the 2012 Rolex Tournament of Champions. The 18-hole course opened in 2002. Located on 600 acres near Atlanta, the course was designed by famed golf course architect Tom Fazio. Fazio has designed and built more than 200 golf courses. 46 of those courses have been ranked in the top 200 courses in the United States.

Since 1992, the competition brings together one of the strongest fields in junior golf. The 2024 event will include 12 of the top 25 girls in the Rolex AJGA Rankings.

Representatives from eight foreign countries and 17 U.S. states are set to compete in one of the AJGA’s most iconic all-girls events. There are also 25 players who have committed verbally or with a Signed National Letter of Intent to play college golf.

Rolex Girls Junior Championship History
The Rolex Girls Junior Championship has occurred annually since 1992, changing host venues each year. Noteworthy courses include: LPGA International – Champions and Legends Course (2002-2005), Long Cove Club (2010), The Country Club of North Carolina – Dogwood Course (2015), and Promontory Club – Dye Canyon Course (2018).

The AJGA returns to Capital City Club - Crabapple for the first time since 2012. Asterisk Talley won the 2023 Rolex Girls Junior Championship by two strokes with scores of 72-70-70-69 to finish at 7-under-par 281. She looks to defend her title in Milton, Georgia.

Past champions of the Rolex Girls Junior Championship include an AJGA all-star cast: Rose Zhang (2020), Rachel Heck (2017), Alison Lee (2013), Ariya Jutanugarn (2012, 2011), Morgan Pressel (2005), Paula Creamer (2003), and Inbee Park (2002).

Schedule
The tournament rounds run Monday, June 17 - Thursday, June 20 with tee times from 8:00-9:50 a.m. off of Nos. 1 and 10.
