Taylor Kehoe of (Canada) Strathroy, Ontario, and Camille Kuznik of Orono,
Minnesota, shot rounds of 2-under-par 70 to lead the Girls Division. Kehoe recorded four straight birdies to finish out her front nine while Kuznik carded an eagle on the par-five No. 6.
Allyn Stephens of Houston, Texas, shot one-under-par 71 to sit one stroke back of the lead. Birdies on two of the last four holes helped Stephens finish strong. Ariel Chang of Macomb Twp, Michigan, carded an even-par 72 to sit in fourth going into the second round.
