Bella Vista, AR – The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA), and Accenture are excited to bring the Accenture NW Arkansas Junior back to Bella Vista for the second year. This will be the third AJGA event held at Bella Vista Village – Highlands Golf Course. The 54-hole, stroke play tournament will take place September 2-5, 2022, and will feature 78 boys and girls (ages 12-19).
Accenture came on board as a Tournament Title Partner with the AJGA in 2021 to support the Accenture NW Arkansas Junior, which will showcase the beauty of Northwest Arkansas, one of the country’s best-kept secrets.
The event will bring 78 of the top male and female junior golfers from around the country to the Bella Vista area. AJGA Open tournaments make up the largest part of the AJGA schedule. All members may submit tournament applications to Open tournaments. All AJGA Open tournaments are filled using the AJGA’s Performance Based Entry system.
Every dollar that is raised in support of the event helps to offset tournament costs, as well as increase the tournaments contribution to local charities. Through the support of Accenture, the event will grow grassroots junior golf in the area as well as help provide opportunities through the AJGA’s Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant . The ACE Grant provides financial assistance to juniors who have the skill level but not the financial means to play a national junior golf schedule.
Additionally, an AJGA Qualifier for entry to the tournament will take place at Bella Vista Village – Highlands Golf Course on Thursday, September 1. In total, there are 156 total playing opportunities between the Qualifier and Open tournament.
First-round play will begin Saturday, September 3, with first through final-round tee times running from 8 – 10 a.m. off Nos. 1 and 10 tees at Bella Vista Village – Highlands Golf Course. The awards ceremony will take place at the conclusion of final-round play on September 5.
