Web.com Tour AJGA Alum Michael Thompson won by three strokes over Miguel Angel Carballo at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft Nabisco, carding 23-under-par 261. Entering the final round, Thompson was tied with AJGA Tournament host Scott Stallings, but with an impressive back nine that included five birdies, Thompson took the title with a final-round 7-under-par 64. Stallings fell to finish tied for fifth with Mackenzie Hughes and Ryan Blaum at 16-under-par 268. Austin Cook rounded out the top-10, tied for ninth with Cheng Tsung Pan and Gonzalo Fdez-Castano at 14-under-par 270. Thompson played in the 2001 AJGA Arizona Junior Classic.
