PRACTICE FACILITIES: Players are encouraged to arrive on-site no more than one hour before their posted tee time. The driving range at Bethpage State Park has limited availability. All players are welcome to use the driving range at Farmingdale State College to warm up before each round. Please show your AJGA Bag Tag to receive your range balls. Players will be allowed to warm-up on the practice putting green at Bethpage State Park.
POST ROUND: Practice will be permitted at both the host facility and the off-site driving range. The driving range, off-site driving range, short game facilities and the practice putting green will close at dusk.
OFF-SITE DRIVING RANGE : If players wish to have more time to warm up prior to the round or practice following play the Farmingdale State College driving range located 2.6 miles away is available starting at 6 a.m. Range balls are complimentary, courtesy of Farmingdale State College.

An AJGA Staff member will be located on the first tee to complete equipment surveys and for tournament announcements.
Practice Round Hole Locations will be available at the starting tee. Tournament Hole Locations will be on the tournament website. All players are required to carry their own bag or use a push cart. All parents and family members are always required to stay on the cart path during the practice round. Please review the AJGA Player and Spectator Code of Conduct prior to the practice round.
ADDITIONAL PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION
Players and guests must comply with all host facility rules & regulations including, but not limited to, a restriction of the number of shots to be played, disrespectful behavior towards host club staff and/or members, overall time limits and limitations of non-paying guests.
Failure to comply with Bethpage State Park’s rules and regulations and the AJGA Player and Spectator Code of Conduct may result in the following penalties:
1. Forfeiture of your official practice round
2. Two stroke penalty or disqualification from the tournament
3. Loss of spectating privileges for the player involved

Dates Available: Anytime based on availability. Please be advised in the days leading up to the event that the Bethpage State Park – Blue Course will be open to walk-up tee times on April 29 (anytime) and April 30 (after 10 a.m.). All reservations must be made through the pro shop of Bethpage State Park or, if booking online, all players must have an account New York State/Bethpage State Park Reservation System.

PLAYER REGISTRATION: It is recommended that players do not arrive for player registration more than one hour before their tee time.

Players unable to register at this time MUST notify Tournament Director Rob Cleary prior to May 2 at (207) 730-9512.
Registration is MANDATORY. Players who fail to attend without prior approval from the tournament director may forfeit their tournament gifts. Approval to miss the Players Registration will be granted only in extreme circumstances. An individual absent from these events because they are not staying at the host hotel or have a long commute do not constitute acceptable circumstances.
CLUBHOUSE GUIDELINES: AJGA Players and Spectators are asked to refrain from entering the Heritage Club at Bethpage. AJGA Players and Spectators are allowed to utilize the Pro Shop & restaurant in the Bethpage Clubhouse. Please note that the restaurant is to be used for dining purposes only and that this space is shared with the public.
PARENTS MEETINGS
A Parents Meeting will be held by the AJGA staff in conjunction with the practice round to discuss the AJGA’s initiatives and policies and answer any questions.

TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS: AJGA Junior at Bethpage Tournament Headquarters is located in the upstairs conference room of the Bethpage Clubhouse. Please feel free to call Tournament Headquarters at (207) 730-9512, with any questions. Players and parents are encouraged to call or email the Tournament Director with any questions that they may have and avoid visiting the Tournament Headquarters.
SCORECARDS: Players will be required to bring a smart phone or device with internet capabilities that supports the Golf Genius application (available on iOS or Android) to use for their official scorecard and live scoring during all AJGA events. Please make sure you have the most updated version of the app. Instructions on how to use the app can be found here . Each player will be provided with a GGID at the starting tee and will be assigned to mark for another player in the group. The player is responsible for providing their own device and ensuring it is fully charged for the round. Under Rule 3.3b(1) after each hole during the round, the marker should confirm with the player the number of strokes on that hole and enter the gross score on the scorecard. Failure to uphold their responsibility as the marker may result in a penalty or disqualification in violation of the AJGA’s Player Code of Conduct.
AJGA CARES FOR THE COURSE: As part of the AJGA’s Code of Conduct policy players are required to fill their divots and ball marks on the golf course. Players will receive a small, lightweight sand bottle at the beginning of each event and should fill the bottles at the sand filling stations on each tee as necessary. The penalty for not following this policy is as follows:
- 1st & 2nd offense – Player receives a verbal warning
- 3rd & subsequent offenses – Player receives a one-stroke penalty
JUNIOR PLUS MEMBER SWING VIDEOS by FLIGHTSCOPE: All Junior Plus Members may record swing metrics and an HD video through FlightScope technology on the driving range at any time during the event. Players can share videos and data in their Player Center, shared to college coaches through AJGA recruiting profiles. Contact the Tournament Director to schedule time to film a swing video.

PUSH CARTS: Push carts (non-motorized) are approved for use by all players as permitted by the host facility. Players are responsible for providing their own push carts.
RANGEFINDERS: The AJGA allows the usage of distance-measuring devices in all AJGA competitions. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or MEASURE OTHER CONDITIONS that might affect his/her play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 4.3(1).
SPECTATOR GOLF CARTS: Due to State Park regulations, Bethpage State Park will not be permitting the use of spectator golf carts for the AJGA Preview at Bethpage. This includes those individuals who possess a government issued Blue Permanent Handicap placard.
The AJGA will shuttle those who have a Blue Permanent Handicap placard to a viewing area on the golf course where multiple holes can be seen at once.
