OFFICIAL PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION

Date: Tuesday, May 27
Time: 8 a.m. Shotgun. Players will be called to the carts for announcements approximately 30 minutes prior to the shotgun.
Golf Course: Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course
Practice Facilities Time: 6 a.m.

Signup: Golf Genius (link to sign up for a starting hole will be sent out one week before practice round)
Signup Dates: Tuesday, May 20 – Monday, May 26

AJGA Staff members will be located on the course to complete equipment surveys and to answer any questions.

Practice Round Hole Locations will be available at the cart staging area. Tournament Hole Locations will be on the tournament website. All players are required to carry their own bag or use a push cart. All parents and family members are always required to stay on the cart path during the practice round. Please review the AJGA Player and Spectator Code of Conduct prior to the practice round.

ADDITIONAL PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION

Players and guests must comply with all host facility rules & regulations including, but not limited to, a restriction of the number of shots to be played, disrespectful behavior towards host club staff and/or members, overall time limits and limitations of non-paying guests.

Failure to comply with Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course’s rules and regulations and the AJGA Player and Spectator Code of Conduct may result in the following penalties:

1. Forfeiture of your official practice round
2. Two stroke penalty or disqualification from the tournament
3. Loss of spectating privileges for the player involved

Special Notes: Must be 16+ with a valid driver’s license to drive a cart. Above rates include greens fees, cart fee, and small bucket of range balls.

JUNIOR-AM INFORMATION:
Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament

We encourage juniors to play in the Junior-Am as it is a great opportunity to show appreciation to all the sponsors who are supporting the tournament and benefitting charities.

PRACTICE FACILITIES: Players are encouraged to arrive on-site no more than an hour and a half before the practice round shotgun.

POST ROUND: Limited practice will be permitted at the host facility. All players will have 60 minutes starting immediately when the player leaves the scoring area. Players may spend their allotted practice time on either the practice putting or chipping green or driving range given space and availability. An AJGA staff member or volunteer will be monitoring the practice facilities. Failure to abide by the outlined practice facility schedule may result in forfeiture of additional practice time.

PLAYER REGISTRATION: It is recommended that players do not arrive for player registration more than an hour and a half before the shotgun start time.

Players unable to register at this time MUST notify Tournament Director Alex Miklinski prior to May 27 at (814) 823-4326.

Registration is MANDATORY. Players who fail to attend without prior approval from the tournament director may forfeit their tournament gifts. Approval to miss the Players Registration will be granted only in extreme circumstances. An individual absent from these events because they are not staying at the host hotel or have a long commute do not constitute acceptable circumstances.

CLUBHOUSE GUIDELINES: No jeans or T-shirts are to be worn in the Bayou Oaks at City Park clubhouse. Parents/Spectators are asked to use the Ballard Room as a designated area to work and take calls to ensure normal activity of the clubhouse is not interrupted.

IMPORTANT COURSE NOTES: The driving range at Bayou Oaks City Park is MATS ONLY. There will be no opportunity for players to hit off grass prior to their round at Bayou Oaks at City Park – South Course.

TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS: The Ochsner Health / AJGA New Orleans Classic Tournament Headquarters is located in the Conference room off of the main dining/grill area.

SCORECARDS: Players will be required to bring a smart phone or device with internet capabilities that supports the Golf Genius application (available on iOS or Android) to use for their official scorecard and live scoring during all AJGA events. Please make sure you have the most updated version of the app. Instructions on how to use the app can be found here . Each player will be provided with a GGID at the starting tee and will be assigned to mark for another player in the group. The player is responsible for providing their own device and ensuring it is fully charged for the round. Under Rule 3.3b(1) after each hole during the round, the marker should confirm with the player the number of strokes on that hole and enter the gross score on the scorecard. Failure to uphold their responsibility as the marker may result in a penalty or disqualification in violation of the AJGA’s Player Code of Conduct.            

AJGA CARES FOR THE COURSE: As part of the AJGA’s Code of Conduct policy players are required to fill their divots and ball marks on the golf course. Players will receive a small, lightweight sand bottle at the beginning of each event and should fill the bottles at the sand filling stations on each tee as necessary. The penalty for not following this policy is as follows:

· 1st & 2nd offense – Player receives a verbal warning
· 3rd & subsequent offenses – Player receives a one-stroke penalty

JUNIOR PLUS MEMBER SWING VIDEOS by FLIGHTSCOPE: All Junior Plus Members may record swing metrics and an HD video through FlightScope technology on the driving range at any time during the event. Players can share videos and data in their Player Center, shared to college coaches through AJGA recruiting profiles. Contact the Tournament Director to schedule time to film a swing video.

PUSH CARTS: Push carts (non-motorized) are approved for use by all players as permitted by the host facility. Players are responsible for providing their own push carts.

RANGEFINDERS: The AJGA allows the usage of distance-measuring devices in all AJGA competitions. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or MEASURE OTHER CONDITIONS that might affect his/her play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 4.3(1).

SPECTATOR GOLF CARTS: Golf carts and spectator carts are not allowed without a Government issued Blue Permanent Handicap placard. Please see the Tournament Director on-site, prior to the first round, to receive an approved cart.
