TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

The Billy Horschel Junior Championship presented by Zurich will be a stableford competition. We will be using the modified stableford format where points will be awarded (or deducted) based on your score for each individual hole:

  • Albatross: +8 points
  • Eagle: +5 points
  • Birdie: +2 points
  • Par: 0 points
  • Bogey: -1 point
  • Double Bogey or worse: -3 points

The champion will be determined by the player who has the most points after 54 holes. Since double bogey is the “worst” one could do on a hole, after a double bogey has been made the player is allowed, and encouraged, to pick up for that hole. Because players are not required to hole out, this event will not be counted by Junior Golf Scoreboard. This is an AJGA Open tournament. PBE status will be awarded accordingly, and the tournament will be included in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. PLEASE NOTE that the tournament will NOT be included in Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings. Billy Horschel is very excited about the opportunity to teach juniors how to play aggressively. This was the main reason Billy and the AJGA chose the stableford format and why we have stated a double bogey is the highest score a player can receive. Billy Horschel is really excited about that event, as is the AJGA.

TOURNAMENT TEE TIMES/PAIRINGS:

Official First-Round Pairings Available: October 9
Tee Times: 8:30 - 10:30 a.m.
