Starting Times: 8 a.m. shotgun (Players will be called to their carts approximately 30 minutes prior to the starting time for announcements). Participants will receive hole assignments upon their arrival on Sunday, June 16.
Registration Information: AJGA Qualifier Registration will be located outside of Buffalo Dunes Golf Course next to the tournament scoreboard from 6:30 – 7:30 a.m. Players must register by 7:30 a.m. to ensure that the shotgun begins precisely at 8 a.m.
Driving Range Opening Time: 6:30 a.m. Range balls are complimentary, courtesy of Buffalo Dunes Golf Course
Qualifying Policy: Players must declare their intention in the scoring area to either accept a spot in the tournament field should they qualify or not. Once a player has signed his/her scorecard, the decision is final. Players who earn Performance Based Entry status will have the current season and the following season to use the Performance Stars. Players who qualify or accept a spot in the tournament do NOT forfeit Performance Based Entry status earned in the AJGA Qualifier.
Qualifying Spots: The exact number of qualifying spots will be posted at the qualifier registration area. Any ties for the final qualifying spots will be determined by a sudden-death playoff upon the conclusion of play.
Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather that warrants a cancellation of the AJGA Qualifier, the remaining tournament spots will be decided by Performance Based Entry.
Alternate Status: In case of tournament withdrawals, participants who fail to qualify with the next best score will be placed on an alternate list. Alternate status will be determined by the following formula:
- The order of finish in a playoff.
- Total score on Nos. 1-6 handicap holes on the course scorecard.
- Total score on Nos. 7-12 handicap holes on the course scorecard.
- Lowest individual hole score starting at No. 1 handicap hole until the tie is broken.
- By lot.
Dress Code: All Buffalo Dunes Golf Course guests must adhere to the club’s dress code (appropriate golf attire is required; jeans, t-shirts and cut-offs are not allowed). Guests may be asked to leave if they are not in accordance with these standards.
Swing Videos: All Junior Plus Members will have the opportunity to have their swings taped on the driving range for the College Coaches website at any time during the event. Players must see the Tournament Director to schedule a time to film their swing video. If you are unsure of your membership status, a list is available in tournament headquarters.
Clubhouse Guidelines: All Buffalo Dunes Golf Course guests are encouraged to use the restroom area and utilize the Bar/Grill Room.
Tournament Information: Tournament Information will be given to all qualifiers by the Tournament Director following the awards ceremony. For those players who qualify, the $295 Tournament entry fee will need to be paid at Tournament Registration on Monday, June 17 at 11 p.m. at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course. Qualifiers who are not AJGA members must complete the AJGA membership application online and pay the membership fee prior to the tournament.

PRACTICE ROUND INFORMATION
Dates Available for Play: Any time prior to June 16.
Tee Times Available for Play: Practice round tee times are based on availability. Participants may make tee times by calling Buffalo Dunes Golf Course at (620) 276-1210. Please identify yourself as an AJGA participant to receive the discounted rate.
Practice Facility Times: M-F (7 am – dark) / Saturday and Sunday (7 am – 6 pm). Please call the golf shop to confirm facility times as these are subject to change over the course of the year.
Greens Fee Rates: Junior: $7, $25 for parents on weekdays, $30 for parents on weekends (all day Saturday and after 1 p.m. on Sunday) plus tax. An additional fee of $15 will be applied to either participants or parents who wish to use a golf cart. Please be sure to identify yourself as an AJGA participant in order to get the discounted rate.
HOTEL/HOUSING INFORMATION
Host Hotel: The Clarion Inn, Sleep Inn & Suites, and Heritage Inn & Suites will serve as the host hotels for the event. The Clarion Inn (1911 E Kansas Ave, Garden City, KS 67846), the Sleep Inn & Suites (1931 East Kansas Plaza, Garden City, KS 67846), and the Heritage Inn (1212 Stone Creek Drive, Garden City, KS 67846) have each given the AJGA a special discounted rate of $99 per room. These special rates include a complimentary breakfast buffet, shuttles and wireless internet. Average rates for this time are $130 per night. Reservations can be made by calling (620) 275-7471 (Clarion Inn), (620) 805-6535 (Sleep Inn & Suites) or (620) 277-7477 (Heritage Inn). Be sure to identify yourself as an AJGA participant when calling for reservations. You must call by Thursday, June 14 to receive the special AJGA rate. Cut Off Date: You must call by Wednesday, May 29 to receive the special AJGA rate.
TRANSPORTATION
Airport: Players should make reservations into Garden City Airport (GCK) which is approximately 20 minute from the hotel and the golf course.

OTHER INFORMATION
Rangefinders: The AJGA has adopted the note to Rule 14-3 allowing the usage of distance-measuring devices in all AJGA competitions. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or MEASURE OTHER CONDITIONS that might affect his/her play (e.g., gradient, wind speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.
Grooves: The condition of competition requiring a player’s clubs conform to the groove and punch mark specifications as detailed in the Rules of Golf Effective January 2016 is IN effect for AJGA competitions. To determine if a club or set of clubs conforms to the new specifications, players should first search the Informational Club Database (Grooves) which is available at usga.org/InfoClubsDB.
Spectator Golf Carts: Golf carts and spectator carts are not allowed without a Government issued Blue Permanent Handicap placard. Please see the Tournament Director on-site to receive an approved cart.
Caddies: Caddies are not permitted in AJGA tournament play.
Push Carts: Push carts (non-motorized) are approved for use by all players as permitted by the host facility. Players are responsible for providing their own push carts.
Code of Conduct: All AJGA participants are expected to abide by the AJGA Code of Conduct. Violations of the Code of Conduct will be dealt with based on the severity of the misconduct.
